Welcome to this awesome family of unique beings who control the world with words. Yes, we’ve got the power.
Allow me to tell you how lucky you are, because some of us were laughed at and discouraged in our day, when we mentioned our desire to walk the path of the wordsmith. They thought we were being incurable romantics, or dreamers or even fools.
Today, it isn’t the same. In fact you are overwhelmed with knowledge from those who have gone before you, urging you and guiding you, so you don’t make the same mistakes they did, and also so you can be successful.
What a wonderful world.
The flip-side to all this is that you are now burdened with too much information. Everywhere you turn, someone has something to say on how, where, when, and what to write, and even who to write about.
You can take your time to sieve through and know what to keep and what to discard. But know this, not everyone’s path is the same.
Writing can surely pay the bills and while it may seem some pay more than others, you just have to find your own writing path.
Some will make it big as bloggers, others as content marketers. Some will be best-selling authors, topping every chart. Some will be sought-after screenwriters, news writers, magazine writers and so on.
But what you will be successful at, is entirely up to you.
